Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt has signed a four year, $112M deal, making him the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. His signing officially makes him active for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Betting Impact:

Watt did not practice with the team this preseason and only participated in individual drills. There was speculation that Watt could hold out at the start of the season if the Steelers did not work with him in restructuring his rookie contract. Now that Watt is officially signed and active, it will be interesting to see if his guaranteed presence has any impact on the -6.5 point spread or 48.5-point total. Watt led the NFL with 29.5 sacks the last two seasons.
