Antonio Gibson rushed for his sixth and seventh touchdowns on Sunday, which led him to passing RG3 as the franchise's leading rookie touchdown rusher through nine weeks. (NBC Sports)

Betting Impact:

This seems like a very arbitrary "record" at first glance, especially considering this isn't even a full season record, but when you dissect it, it makes sense why fans in Washington are excited. RG3 only rushed for seven touchdowns in his first season and he ended up winning rookie of the year that year. Granted he was a quarterback, but the fact that he held the record up until this point signals just how desperate Washington has been for a quality running back for quite some time. Antonio Gibson is looking like one of the top two rookies in the NFC along with Minnesota's Justin Jefferson.
