The Houston Texans have acquired wide receiver Brandin Cooks via trade with the Los Angeles Rams. The Texans sent this year's second-round draft pick (No. 57 overall) to the Rams in exchange for Cooks and a fourth-round pick in 2022. Cooks has amassed 1,787 yards receiving on 122 receptions and seven touchdowns over the last two seasons. Houston's receiving corps now features Cooks along with Will Fuller, Kenny Stills and newly acquired Randall Cobb. (Lindsey Thiry- ESPN)

Betting Impact:

Despite the trade for Cooks, oddsmakers believe less in the Texans entering 2020. Houston's projected win total has dropped from 8.5 to 7.5 at FOX Bet. The Texans are seemingly viewed as less potent offensively after trading away star receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Houston has odds of -167 to miss the playoffs and +138 to make the playoffs. They are also +300 to win the AFC South, which are the third-worst odds out of the four teams in the division.
