The spread for the Week 13 matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets is something we have not seen in 18 years. As -7.5 point road favorites, Las Vegas is the biggest road favorites they have been since 2002.

Betting Impact:

Any time something happens for the first time in 18 years, it is sure to raise some eyebrows. However, perhaps the most surprising part of this statistic is the fact that the Raiders are opening as such high favorites just one week after getting blown out 43-6 on the road at Atlanta. That just goes to show you what oddsmakers think of the 0-11 Jets. The Raiders have reveled in the favorite role this year, as they are 3-0 SU in the other three games they have been favorites outside of their loss as three-point favorites to the Falcons last week. The Jets have been underdogs in 10 of 11 games this season.
