Public is split on the Saints-Bears matchup

In advance of their Week 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears, the New Orleans Saints have attracted 57% of the bets but just 47% of the money thus far.

Betting Impact:

The Saints opened as 2.5 point favorites earlier in the week, but have risen to 4.5 point road favorites, per BettingPros consensus odds. Therefore, it is likely that a majority of the 53% of the money wagered on the Bears has come in later in the week when the line rose to its highest. The line has likely risen because the Saints are expected to have Michael Thomas back for his first game action since Week 1 and because the Bears looked pathetic in a 24-10 loss on Monday night to the Rams. However, that has not stopped bettors from believing that Chicago will defend their home turf, just like they did when they were home underdogs to the Buccaneers.
