The Green Bay Packers will be without linebacker Za'Darius Smith after they placed him on IR with a lingering back issue in advance of this week's Monday night matchup with the Detroit Lions. (Rob Demovsky-ESPN)

Betting Impact:

Smith was clearly hampered by the back injury in their Week 1 loss to the Saints as he played only 18 snaps. The two-time Pro Bowler is a big loss for the Green Bay defense, as he is one of just three players in the NFL with 12 or more sacks in each of the last two seasons. Despite Smith's injury, bettors still clearly love Green Bay to roll Detroit as their 12-point spread is the highest it has been all week, and is up from an opening number of -10.5 points earlier in the week.
